My 2008

Well, it's 2009 now....and after 1 long year, I'm posting again, haha....Concluding my 2008, I would say it has been fruitful and eventful and most of the events happened during my travel.

I had learnt to ski and later twisted my knee; bought a car for the travel in europe and find myself driving on the "right" side of the road while visiting friends in different countries; long term bf broke up with me on the day I visited the fairy tale castle in Germany; car window got broken in Spain , the thieves got most of my stuff including all my trip photos, then I have to face another challenge trying to communicate with the local police; had some kind of marriage proposal from a switzerland campsite manager; was mistaken for prostitute in a stop along the highway and got checked 2 times in a day by French customs. These are some of the events that will definitely stay in my brain for a while.

Besides all the events, I had also realized that I had grown, thankfully not sideways, neither upwards, but internally. I seems to be able to handle things more rationally, more open minded and not let myself to be easily disturbed or upset by unforeseen events that might have depressed or anger me had it happened a year ago. When bad things happened which is out of my control, I allow myself to feel sad for a while, and then I looked around me and be grateful that I am still alive and able to enjoy life, so I told myself that I should continue to do so, to live life to the fullest. I try to smile more and laugh even more, it makes me happy and I hope it will also make people around me happy. I have had a few guests coming to tell me that they are really happy to see me because I always have a smile on my face, so people do notice, and they are being affected.

People says that travelling broaden your horizon, and for my case I think it certainly did. Is there something I would have done differently??I guess one thing I am trying tio improve is to have more contacts with my family and my close frens, who am I without all this people who love me unconditionally??They are there when I needed them most. Thanks to all my seasisters, I love you all!!
